The Hamptons International Film Festival is committed to helping filmmakers find the widest possible audiences for their works, which often involves looking beyond the strict confines of theatrical distribution. Consequently, HIFF is pleased to present this a program of short filmmakers who have found wide audiences through non-traditional distribution partnerships, and a panel discussion exploring these issues. Filmmakers Barry Jenkins, Antonio Campos, Emily Abt, Andrew Hunt, and Amy Redford are all on the rise, having each directed a successful feature film in the past year. During this showcase, these up-and-coming filmmakers will present five short films, and then participate in a panel discussion exploring the issues and implications of alternative distribution platforms for young directors.
