It's the start of a new school year at Gray College, and longtime Associate Professor Charlie Thurber (Luke Wilson) begrudgingly prepares for one more attempt at a tenure position, while also steeling himself against inevitable failure. Just as he starts to feel the long awaited promotion is within his grasp, a new and dishearteningly impressive tenure-track professor (Gretchen Mol) is brought on staff. Charlie's best friend, a colleague and noted Bigfoot expert, convinces him the only solution is to sabotage his new competition, but he soon finds his professional aspirations and personal emotions leading him down different paths. David Koechner and Rosemarie DeWitt provide hilarious supporting turns in this charming romantic comedy and send-up of academia.

His next directing project will be from another of his own scripts, ANALOG. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Laura and their 1 year-old daughter Chloe.
