Tough and masculine Lotte (Trine Dyrholm, star of last year’s HIFF hit TROUBLED WATER) has just returned from military service in Afghanistan to the small town in Denmark where her father runs an underground brothel. After abandoning her as a child, her father now offers her employment as a driver for his mistress and top earner, Lily. The two women start out at odds; beautiful and feminine Lily is trying to earn a living so she can support her daughter back in Nigeria and Lotte is striving for her father's affections. Soon, however, the women form a bond and their lives become intertwined in a way no one could have predicted.

LITTLE SOLDIER is her fourth film and was nominated at the main competition at the Berlin Film Festival and won the Ecumenical Prize at Berlinale.
